Best Song Ever

My current nomination features an electric organ and bongos (thanks to a drum machine). It's funky and has a great message. "Why Can't We Live Together?" The original by Timmy Thomas, a preacher's kid, was probably never exceeded. Hypnotic, unforgettable, maybe perfect. But others, like Sade and Joan Osborne, do the song justice.


In my life, music and history contend. If you want history, the song was recorded in 1972. It echoes in 2020 and 2021. Check it out.
