Thanks to all who came to my talk Jan. 28, and those 80 or so people who connected by Zoom. The recording is on YouTube, https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zeiSMJzteN8.

Early arrivals got to see the great video by Karl Swenson giving an aerial view of the river. Fantastic.

There was no opportunity for my musical playlist, listed below. These are all great songs. Brian Taylor suggested adding Talking Heads, "Take Me to the River." Great suggestion.

New music from the Tedeschi Trucks Band, one of America's greatest bands. Susan Tedeschi is from the South Shore, Norwell if I am not mistaken. Latest song "I Got You" is here, https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tLIEnDeSeBU.

The playlist:

Marvin Gaye, "Mercy, Mercy Me (The Ecology)" (extended Soul Purrfection version)

Toots & the Maytals, "Time Tough"

Steely Dan, "FM (No Static at All)"

Ricky Fante, "Shine"

The O'Jays, "Love Train" (extended mix)

Tedeschi Trucks Band, "Gravity"

Vulf - VULFPECK Clarity of Cal (Live from the Palladium)

Ava Max, "Diamonds & Dancefloors (Official Audio)"

(King Curtis) Family Company feat. Jerry Jemmott, "Memphis Soul Stew"
