1915 Map of North River
My interest in ditches (and shores) led to exploring the North River's history. And this led me to a wonderful 1915 map. I tracked down some originals of the map (just sheets 1, 3, 5, & 7 of seven). Higher resolution copies are available in my photo gallery at

7/9/24 update: Oops, I didn't know I had to authorize your downloading high resolution copies. So now, here you go, 3+MB instead of 40KB.

Below is more information about the map.

1915 Map of North River
“Plan of North River in the Towns of Scituate, Marshfield, Norwell, Pembroke & Hanover” (MA Harbor and Land Commission, 1915), seven sheets, copy available from North River Commission, http://www.northrivercommission.net/. It is in PDF format, not high resolution.
The plan was prepared in connection with this report -- “1915 House Bill 1850. Report Relative To The Improvement Of Salem Harbor, North River, Wellfleet Harbor, Edgartown Harbor And Wareham River, And To Building A Breakwater In Provincetown Harbor.” (Boston: Board of Harbor and Land Commissioners, 1915), 7-15, https://archives.lib.state.ma.us/bitstream/handle/2452/396171/ocm39986872-1915-HB-1850.pdf?sequence=1&isAllowed=y; in collection with permanent URI, https://hdl.handle.net/2452/393354.
After a diligent search for the original plan, I found that the Massachusetts Archives had sheets 1, 3, 5, and 7 of the seven sheets. Thanks to the help of Caitlin and Bill, these have been copied, and I have edited them into the accompanying, reasonably-sized JPEG photos in higher resolution. These should be helpful for historical and ecological research.
If you know of any other originals, please let me know.

Note:
Copies are not available at State Library
Copies at Scituate Archives are low-resolution
