A new play about suffragists, "ONWARD - Votes for Women" (a play honoring the fight for Women's Suffrage) was scheduled to be performed March 19, 2020, at the Boston Public Library. Unfortunately the play has been postponed due to the coronavirus. It was created by Lisa Rafferty of Scituate, with research help by Jody McDonough of Scituate. It features a poem by Inez Haynes Irwin, a leading suffragist who spent summers in Scituate and retired there. It is great to see a Scituate suffragist recognized, and congratulations for the new play!
